Disulfide proteinoid (Prot(ALD)) was prepared via melt-condensation reaction of Asp, Leu, and dithiodipropionid acid (disulfide compound) and its successful preparation was confirmed by 1H NMR and FT-IR spectroscopy. The surface tension of Prot(ALD) was measured, indicating that Prot(ALD) is amphiphilc. Reduction-responsive monoolein (MO) cubic phase was prepared by melting MO and laying Pot(ALD) aqueous solution onto melted MO. MO bilayers and water channel of cubic phase was observed on the TEM micrograph. The phase transition temperature of MO cubic phase was determined by polarized optical microscopy and differential scanning calorimetry and the result suggests that the Prot(ALD) little affect its phase transition temperature. The release degree of dye from MO cubic phase containing Prot(ALD) increased at a higher reducing agent. The Prot(ALD) chains could be shortened by reducing agent in water channel, resulting in an increase in the dye release. |
