We have synthesized high triplet energy bipolar host materials derived from indole phosphine oxide and investigated the photophysical properties of the host materials. Indole and phosphine oxide were attached as the functional groups to manage the energy levels, hole and electron transport properties. A high triplet energy over 2.9 eV was obtained in indole phosphine oxide derivatives, and they showed energy levels and triplet energy suitable for deep blue phosphorescent organic light emitting diode application. |
