제목 Magnesiothermic Reduction of Silica-gel to Hierarchical Porous Silicon for Li-ion Battery Anode
초록 The magnesiothermic reduction method to obtain silicon derived from silicon dioxide has been proven to be an effective approach for controlling the structure of silicon. In this work, silica-gel was used as a precursor for producing hierarchical porous silicon anode material by magnesiothermic reduction method, which provides porous structure and with the advantage of low cost and high production. The reduction conditions and different carbon coating methods were investigated. Through carbon coating, the hierarchical porous silicon materials show the improved cycling performance compared to commercial silicon particles when tested as Li-ion battery anode material. The current work provided the low cost and high throughput process to produce novel nanostructured silicon-based anode materials.
