제목 Photodegradation effect enhanced by doped graphene quantum dots decorated on TiO2
초록 In this work, doped graphene quantum dots (GQD) was synthesized by simple hydrothermal method using glucose as carbon source with doping agent. The GQD is used as a cocatalyst for enhancing the visible-light photocatalytic activity of TiO2 toward photodegradation of industrial waste. The GQD/TiO2 composite was characterized by using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) ,X-ray photoelectron (XPS), photoluminescence (PL), and transient analysis. Interestingly, by changing the doping level, GQD shows tunable bandgaps from 2.13 eV to 3.83 eV, which contribute to improve light-conversion efficiency. the GQD/TiO2 composite exhibits excellent photodegradation efficiency of methylene blue (10 μgml-1) with 97% removal after 60 min. Furthermore, good stability of GQD/TiO2was also observed after five continuously repeated photocatalytic cycles. The outstanding photocatalytic performance may be attributed to effective charge separation between GQD and TiO2 in which electron was generated in GQD and transferred into TiO2. This study provides a facile and effective method to prepare photocatalyst for degradation of organic pollutants.
