Preparations and Photovoltaic Properties of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells with P3HT/Fulleropyrrolidine Derivatives |

Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) have attractive features of high energy conversion efficiency and low production cost. In this study, the preparations and the photovoltaic effects of the DSSC devices containing hole conducting material layer based on P3HT/fulleropyrrolidine derivatives were investigated. We have prepared the DSSC devices, using Ruthenium dye as a photosensitizer, sandwiched with TiO2-deposited and Pt-coated electrode as two electrodes. Fulleropyrrolidine derivatives substituted different chain lengths in alkyl groups were synthesized. We have made of DSSC devices with hole conducting material layers containing fulleropyrrolidine derivatives, PCBM, P3HT/fulleropyrrolidine derivatives, or P3HT/PCBM. The open-circuit voltage (Voc) of the DSSC devices were 0.45~0.68 V, the short-circuit current density (Jsc) were 0.25~6.65 mA/cm2, and the overall energy conversion efficiency (η) achieved 0.05~1.47 %. And then, fill factor (FF) was around 0.4. |
