제목 Stretchable and Soft Capacitive Sensor Using Interdigitated Liquid Metal Fibers
초록 This work demonstrates stretchable and soft capacitive sensor fabricated by injecting liquid metal into ultrastretchable hollow fibers and arranging them in an interdigitated structure. Once the fibers are activated by plasma, they bond each other and subsequently the liquid metal is injected into the core of the fibers to form an interdigitated structure. Plasma bonding between fibers has a small adhesive area, but fibers can withstand 200 % deformation. Due to the fluidic nature and metallic conductivity of the cores, the interdigitated liquid metal fibers can exhibit capacitance which can be sensitively changed by external stimuli and touching with different objects as theoretically expected. This stretchable and soft capacitive sensor that can respond sensitively to various external stimuli would find use in smart textile, body-integrated sensing, soft robotics.
