The purpose of this work is to synthesize silicone foam (SF) containing silylated cellulose to improve the mechanical properties of SF. Microcrystalline cellulose has drawbacks such as poor wettability, lower thermal stability, moisture absorption, and lower compatibility between matrix and cellulose. To overcome these disadvantages, tremendous cellulose hydroxyl groups are used as reaction spots for surface modification. The system uses wet-ball milling mechanochemical and eco-friendly methods. Moreover, expect the exfoliation behavior by reducing the hydroxyl group and hydrogen bonds. After the reaction, the surface area increases at least 10 times, and the compatibility with SF is also improving due to the high specific surface area, hydrophobicity, and wettability. |
