Carbon nanotubes are widely investigated as composite materials due to their novel structural, electronic, and mechanical properties. In this work, we studied on the preparation of organogel/SWNT nanocomposites. A thiophene-based gelator was synthesized, which showed an ability to gelate organic solvents such as toluene, xylene, tetrahydrofuran, and chloroform. SWNTs were dispersed in an organogel in the presence of divinylbenzene (DVB). Thermal polymerization of the gel composite produced a porous material having a good electrical conductivity. |
