polyaniline(PANi) is one of the important conducting polymers, because PANi has relatively facile processability, good electrical conductivity and environmental stability. It has a wide range of electrical properties which can be easily controlled by degree of oxidation and protonation. Although PANi itself generally displays poor electrical conductivity, it displays a good electrical conductivity upon doping woth low molecular mineral acids such as hydrochloric acid. However, low molar mass acids could easily decreases as a function of cycle time. To overcome this problem, new class of non-volatile acid doping materials are necessary, which have as doping capability as low molar mass acids and can demonstrate electrochemical stability. Thus, carboxylic acid- and sulfonic acid-terminated hyperbranched poly(etherketone) (CA-HPEK and SA-HPEK, respectively) were synthesized as non-volatile polymeric dopants, which was expected to be miscible well with PANi. |
