Beta-cyclodextrin(B-CD) microgel was prepared in a strong alkail condition using epochlorohydrin as a cross-linker. In order to obtain the light and pH sensitive microgel, cinnamic acidC(CA) was loaded in the microgel by taking advantage of its host-guest interaction with the cavities of B-CD. First, B-CD microgels with CA and without CA were prepared in the buffer solution at pH 7.4. Under two kind of UV irradiation(λ=365nm, 254nm), the swelling ratio of B-CD microgels contained CA were both decreased conpared with microgels without CA and the release of 5(6)-carboxyfluorescein(CF, a water soluble dye) from microgel with CA was decreased under the UV irradiation(λ=365nm) by determining the fluorescene intensity. this shows the light-repsonsivity. we prepared the B-CD microgels wih and without CA ar different pH in the suitable buffer solutions (pH3,5,7.4,9) and the swelling ratio could make slightly difference. |
