Rapid and Highly Sensitive Detection of Enrofloxacin in Milk through LateralFlow Immunoassay Technique |

Enrofloxacin(ENR) is an antibiotic endangering human health. For the rapid detection ofENR, in this work, we developed a one-step detection lateral flow immunochromatographicassay (LFIA) based on gold nanoparticles (AuNPs). An anti-enrofloxacinmonoclonal antibody (mAb) was conjugated with AuNPs for the specific detectionof enrofloxacin in milk samples. In the present study, the visual limit ofdetection (vLOD) was estimated to be 50 ng/ml which is the MRL allowed in milksamples by MFDS. The ENR test strip showed negligible cross-reactivity with ENRanalogues (ciprofloxacin, ofloxacin, norfloxacin), this indicates the highspecificity of the test strip toward ENR. The visual test results can be seenwithin 10 min without need of special equipment. |
