제목 | Drug-reinforced 3D scaffold using polymer blending for the preparation of bone substitutes |
초록 | Currently, the elder population is rapidly growing due to the extended life span. Although bio, medical, and pharmaceutical technologies have been developed extensively, studies on hard tissue has not been fully explored yet. Therefore, bone-related diseases can be one of the critical problems which deteriorate the quality of human life, especially elderly people. This study investigated a porous drug-loaded polymeric 3D-scaffold by blending PCL and PLGA for the use of bone substitutes. The physical properties of the scaffolds were examined using various analytical methods. Biological responses of the scaffolds were examined in terms of cellular adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation. Results demonstrated that the prepared scaffold is highly biocompatible and the surface modification was effectively stimulated cell activities.
