Enzymatically hydrolyzed cellulose nanofiber as carbon source for textile-like carbon wrapping of silicon anode in lithium ion batteries |
초록 |
Carbon coating plays a substantially important role for silicon anode in lithium ion batteries due to low conductivity of silicon. Commonly used carbon coatings have been found to be ineffective in preserving integrity of conductive network during repeated volume change of silicon. This research introduces the use of enzymatically hydrolyzed cellulose nanofiber as carbon source for textile-like carbon wrapping of silicon anode. The unique carbon network provides efficient electron and ion diffusion paths. Consequently, the electrode with novel structure exhibits high reversible capacity of 680 mAh g−1 at 8.0 A g−1 and good cycling performance (94.5 % capacity retention after 500 cycles) compared to conventionally used carbon coating. This result indicates that the textile-like carbon structure brings durable conductive network and better ion diffusion paths. |
