Gold nanoparticles are mainly used for cancer therapy and Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) imaging for cancer diagnosis because of their advantages of lower cytotoxicity and easy surface modification. However, to apply all of these applications with a single kind of nanoparticle at the same time, the increase of surface area of nanoparticles is necessary to introduce drugs and Raman label chemicals (RLC) for imaging and therapy on the surface. Herein, we synthesized SiO2@Au@Au porous shell for SERS imaging, photothermal therapy and drug delivery and these nanoparticles are synthesized by using silica nanospheres as a template to improve reproducibility and SERS intensity and dealloying method to fabricate the nanoparticles which have high surface-to-volume ratio. With these merits, SiO2@Au@APS were adopted to in vitro and in vivo thermal-therapy and chemotherapy and showed excellent anticancer ability. |
