A carbon aerogel (CA) is considered the most promising material for future electric double-layer capacitor (EDLC) applications, which has large specific surface area, large pore volume and good mechanical stability. Herein, CA was fluorinated to improve capacitance of CA. The CA prepared from resorcinol and formaldehyde was fluorinated as different F2 gas fractions at room temperature. XPS elemental analysis was carried out to compare the amount of fluorinated carbon aerogels (FCA) under different fluorination conditions. And electrochemical properties of FCAs were evaluated by cyclic voltammetry (CV). The CV of FCA based-electrodes was performed in a potential range of 0 – 1 V at different scan rates of 5 and 50 mV/s in 1 M H2SO4 electrolyte. |
