제목 Effect of thermal etching temperature and SiO2/Al2O3 ratio of flexible zeolite nanofibers for the removal of volatile organic compounds
초록 Flexible zeolite nanofibers with high surface area were fabricated by the electrospinning process and thermal surface partial etching process, and VOCs (volatile organic compounds) adsorption/desoprtion characteristics were investigated by GC (gas chromatography). TGA analysis of the as-spun zeolite nanofibers indicated that the as-spun zeolite nanofibers were thermal etched at a temperature range from 250 oC to 450 oC for maintaining flexibility of zeolite nanofibers. SEM and AFM image clearly showed that the polymer surface of the nanofibers was partially etched, and zeolite particles were exposed on the surface of the nanofibers. N2 adsorption/desorption isotherm results showed that the etching nanofiber at 400OC had a specific area of 816m2/g similar to the value of zeolite powder. The effect of thermal etching temperature and SiO2/Al2O3 ratio of flexible zeolite nanofibers was investigated for the toluene adsorption/desorption characteristics. The flexible zeolite znonofiber with higher SiO2/Al2O3 ratio and higher thermal etching temperature showed the better toluene adsorption/desorption characteristics.
