제목 A study of ceramide nanosome for cosmetic applications
초록 Ceramides are one of the intercellular lipids which are known to play an essential role in skin barrier function and skin moisturization by preventing water loss from the skin. However, on account of the gelation or crystallization problem in the cosmetic formulations such as emulsion and cream, the amount of ceramide is limited in cosmetic formula. In this study, we prepared ceramide nanosome using high pressure homogenizer. In this study, stability tests of ceramide nanosome were performed under freezing, room temperature, and 45℃ conditions during 2 months. The structure of ceramide nanosome was determined by Cryo-Transmission Electron Microscopy (Cryo-TEM). The size distribution was determined using Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) and the stability was determined by zeta potential. These ceramide nanosome would be helpful for applying to stabilize ceramides in cosmetic formula.
