초록 | Solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) are highly efficient, stable, and lowemissions of harmful gases during their operation because all electrodes and anelectrolyte are solid-state materials and they can operate without anyhydrocarbon in principle. For the operation of SOFCs, hydrogen is commonly usedas fuel to consume oxygen ions from the electrolyte on the anode side.Therefore, efficient hydrogen production, storage, and utilization techniquesare essential to commercialize SOFCs. In this presentation, we will introduce how to use density functional theory (DFT) calculations to reveal reactionmechanisms for (1) hydrogen production, (2) hydrogen storage, and (3) hydrogen utilization oncatalytic materials. |
