VOCs removal has recently attracted great attention because of adverse effects in product quality and environment. Mesoporous silicas are considered as advantageous adsorbents with large surface area, pore volume, pore diameter and possibility of modification. We prepared SBA-15 with thick wall and modified it to get the hydrothermal stability and high selectivity to VOCs not to moisture. We prepared SBA-15 using triblock copolymer as a template and tetraethyl orthosilicate as a silica source by sol-gel method. Then, we modified SBA-15 with aniline derivatives. Aniline is selected because it has hydrophobic property and affinity to benzene derivatives. This modification may help the adsorbent avoiding water adsorption and attracting benzene derivatives. Compared with pure SBA-15, aniline-modified SBA-15 show good VOCs adsorbability. aniline-modified SBA-15 was characterized by FT-IR, N2 adsorption-desorption isotherm, thermogravimetric analysis(TGA), X-ray diffraction(XRD). |
