Environmentally friendly electronic devices from organic semiconductors have attracted much attention in recent years as the possibility of manufacturing electronic modules by ink jet printing has increased. This presentation will cover the results of the development of environmentally friendly organic semiconductors by Gyeongsang natinal university of Organic Semiconductor Laboratory and Nano Information Materials Laboratory. The increase in solubility in environmentally friendly solvents were carried out by the introduction of long aliphatic side chains, the introduction of asymmetric monomers, random copolymerization, nanosized dispersion of organic semiconductors in alcohol solvents, and eventually the preparation of the emulsion of organic semiconductors from aqueous solution. The fabricated environmentally friendly electronic devices have the performance which can rival with those of amorphous silicon in mobility. |
