In this study, the host of blue thermal activity delayed fluorescence(TADF)-based organic light emitting diodes(OLEDs) was developed. A 9-(2'-(dibenzo[b,d]furan-2-yl)-[1,1'-biphenyl]-3-yl)-9H-carbazole(2DBF-BPhCz) and 9-(2'-(dibenzo[b,d]furan-4-yl)-[1,1'-biphenyl]-3-yl)-9H-carbazole(4DBF-BPhCz) were designed and synthesized as a bipolar host with high triplet energy. The method of increasing the bond dissociation energy(BDE) in an anion state may be reinforced in an electronic aspect by introducing electron withdrawing unit. Therefore, the material stability of the host was increased by introducing cyano groups, which are electron withdrawing units, to ortho, meta, and para position. All hosts that synthesized for blue TADF-based OLEDs were evaluated for optical properties, electrochemical properties, thermal stability, and device respectively. |
