Control of pore structure in carbon nanofiber of PAN/PS blend systems using viscosity difference |

The aim of this work is to determine the morphology development of PAN/PS blend fiber webs using viscosity differences. PAN and PS were selected as a blend due to their immiscible blend phase. The 10wt% PAN and 20/25/30/35wt% PS solutions were dissolved in DMF and PAN/each PS blends were prepared in a 70:30 weight ratio. PAN/PS blend nanofiber webs were fabricated by electrospinning process as fully sepatated the two components and PS was removed through the thermal treatment such as a stabilization and a carbonization. The morphology of fibers were investigated using scanning electron microscope. As a viscosity of PSs changed, the morphology of blend fiber webs were controlled in various forms. |
