Advanced polymeric scaffolds for tissue engineering applications |
초록 |
In this study, we designed novel oxygen generating 3D tissue scaffold using a composite of biodegradable polymer and oxygen rich compound capable of sustaining controlled release of oxygen. We hypothesized that an oxygen generating scaffold can provide a good environment for sustaining cell viability until normal oxygen diffusion can be established from the in growing blood vessels. Their in vitro and in vivo studies were conducted to confirm prolonging cell survival and homogeneous cell distribution in the scaffolds by sustained oxygen release. And also, we developed a novel thermal treatment technique which can improve biomechanical properties of electrospun scaffold by interfiber bonding without significant morphological and structural change using biocompatible polymer and structure stabilizer. The feasibility of the technique to improve biomechanical properties of electrospun was investigated by mechanical testing and SEM. |
