제목 | Investigation on the application of PLCL membrane containing gelatin-doped CaP particles to periodontal tissue regeneration |
초록 | Bacterial infection causes periodontal diseases which can severely damage oral health. Various types of membranes are being used for the promotion of periodontal tissue regeneration. PCL is one of polymers frequently used for the preparation of the membrane since it is biocompatible and biodegradable. In this study, we investigate the feasibility of PLCL as a potential candidate for membrane preparation. For this purpose, PLCL was synthesized and used for the preparation of porous membrane by using salt leaching method. Gelatin-doped calcium phosphate was embedded in the membrane to promote the regeneration of periodontal tissue. Our results elucidated that PLCL membrane showed high tensile strength and elasticity, long-lasting degradation, and no cytotoxic effects.
