제목 Synthesis and Characterizations of Poly(2,5-benzimidazole-co-1,4-benzamide) for fuel cell applications.
초록 A series of novel poly(2,5-benzimidazole-co-1,4-benzamide) (ABP-BA) copolymers were prepared from the condensation polymerization of 3,4-diaminobenzoic acid (DABA) and 4-aminobenzoic acid (ABA) in polyphosphoric acid. The feed ratio of two monomers, DAB and ABA were varied from 100:0 to 100:50 and the inherent viscosities of all the synthesized ABP-BA copolymers were higher than 1.7 dL/g. ABP-BA copolymers were thermally stable up to about 500℃ and showed high mechanical stability similar to the homopolymer, poly(2,5-benzimidazole) (ABPBI). Proton conducting membranes were prepared by casting the polymerization solution directly. The impedance analysis was made in the range of 30-180℃ in dried or humidified conditions. The proton conductivities of these ABP-BA copolymers were higher than ABPBI.
