제목 Preparation of Silica Nanocomposites and the Rheological properties
초록 Styrene, butyl acrylate (BA) and methacrylic acid (MAA) were copolymerized by soap-free emulsion polymerization using a macromonomer in an aqueous media. The polymerization was carried out using semi-batch emulsion polymerization. Also, a nanocomposite was prepared by aggregation with silica particles in an aqueous media. The surface, shape and section of nanocomposites were observed by a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and a transmission electron microscope (TEM). It was found that the silica particles were aggregated with the latex. The rheological properties were measured by using an advanced rheometric expansion system (ARES). It was found that the rheological properties were significantly improved by adding the nano-sized particles. The modulus and the stress relaxation were also examined as a function of frequency and temperature.
