제목 Design, Synthesis and Evaluation of Amphiphilic Block Copolymers for Biomedical Applications
초록 During the last twenty years, we have paid a lot of efforts on design and synthesis of novel functional block copolymers for drug delivery systems. In the field of nano drug delivery system (DDS), we focus on cancer theranostics using pH-responsive block copolymers. Our polymers can self-assemble into stable nanoparticles at physiological pH (7.4), and these particles can target tumor cells and cure cancer after they reach their site of action. Hydrogels are also exclusively studied in our group. Comparing to conventional hydrogels, our hydrogels are pH- and temperature- sensitive. These hydrogels are generally formed by triblock or multiblock copolymers with PEG as one building block and pH/temperature-sensitive polymers as another block. We applied these hydrogel materials as matrix for drugs or proteins and administered them in an injectable way.
