Waste cooking oilcontainsfree fatty acids, impurities and water. However, the quality of raw materials should be remained constantly to produce outstanding biobiodiesel. In this study, due to changes in acid value of waste cooking oil into biodiesel was undertaken to determine the characteristics of the transition. The transesterification reaction, an essential part of the biodiesel manufacturing process, was performed using waste cooking oil, methanol, and alkali catalyst. We tried to deduce the optimum conditions by defining the operating variables, such as methanol/oil mole ratio and the reaction temperature. |
