To increase efficiency of polymer light-emitting diodes(PLEDs), holes and electrons are efficiently injected from the anode and cathode to the emissive layer(EL). However, hole mobility is larger than that of electron. For effective electron injection, electron transport layer(ETL) that barrier height between electrode and EL lower is needed. In this study, water-soluble anthracene derivative as ETL was introduced in PLEDs and prevented interfacial mixing between EL and ETL. As a result, PLEDs was successfully fabricated by solution process and increased efficiency and luminance. |
