Novel low band-gap solution processable DPP-based derivatives functionalized with electron withdrawing end capping material (p-cyanophenyl) was synthesized, and their photophysical, electrochemical and photovoltaic properties were investigated. It showed an intense absorption band that covered a wide range from 450nm to 700nm. The UV-vis absorption spectrum of the P3HT:DPP-PhCN-p (1:2) blend film was clearly red-shifted compared to P3HT:PCBM. Using the donor-acceptor (P3HT:DPP-PhCN=1:2) processed from toluene solvent showed the performance of 0.35% PCE with Voc=0.44 V, Jsc=0.80 mA/cm2 and fill factor FF=28.8%. |
