제목 Organic-Inorganic Polymer Hybrids with Silsesquioxanes via Aromatic Interactions
초록 The synthesis of homogeneous polymer hybrids from silsesquioxanes such as polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes (POSS) or ladderlike polyphenylsilsesquioxsnes (PPSQ) with polystyrene (PS) via aromatic interactions was investigated. Polymer hybrids from POSS with propylphenyl groups (Propylphenyl-POSS) and PS showed the high transparency and homogeneity in a wide range of weight ratios of Propylphenyl-POSS to PS. In case of polymer hybrids from ladderlike PPSQ with PS, the homogeneity gradually increased as the weight ratio of PS to PPSQ increased. The thermal stability of polymer hybrids with PPSQ was checked by TGA measurement. The homogeneity of polymer hybrids based on silsesquioxanes was confirmed by the results of SEM and AFM, which demonstrated a nano-meter level integration of PS and silsesquioxanes.
