제목 | Preparation of Polystyrene Nanoparticles by Emulsion Polymerization Using Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose Phthalate(HPMCP) |
초록 | Polystyrene(PS) nanoparticles were prepared by various emulsion polymerization. Some emulsion polymerization need emulsifier. In this work, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose Phthalate(HPMCP) that composes of hydrophilic and hydrophobic segments was used as a polymeric surfactant. In order to use HPMCP as a polymeric surfactant, HPMCP solution were prepared by neutralization method using HPMCP powder and ammonium hydroxide (NH4OH) in the absence of any organic solvent and emulsifier. The distribution of particle size and the morphology of PS nanoparticles were analyzed by DLS, CHDF and SEM respectively. In addition, thermal properties of PS nanoparticles were measured by DSC and TGA respectively. |
