One of issues arisen from phosphorescence OLED is phase separation between host and guest materials. Therefore, we have synthesized materials having an emitting part and a host moiety in a same molecule to optimize their distance. We have prepared a variety of oligomers and polymers such as polyfluorene, polycarbazole and its organosilicon derevatives. which are able to act as a host. Ir complexes as an emitting part have been incorporated into the host materials. We expected these host moieties not only acting as a spacer but also as an effective energy bridge from electrodes to emitting parts. Studying on their physical and optical properties, we could figure out fine effects of energy tubing on polymeric host moieties, and ligand substituents on emitting parts. Based on these results, we have also designed new OLED materials having an energetically suitable host moiety and an optically effective spacer. |
