A novel synthetic process for polyimide (PI) / poly(methylsilsesquioxane) (PMSSQ) hybrid films with multi-porous structure was investigated with the supercritical technology. The PI segments of the hybrid film had closed micro-pores and PMSSQ segments had nano-pores. Micro-pores and nano-pores were developed in the supercritical CO2 media. During the imidization reaction, PI precursor which was prepared with diisocyanate - dianhydride generated by-product, CO2, which didn’t go out of the film and occupied spaces inside of the film by the pressure of supercritical CO2. The pore size and the size distribution of multi-porous films was controlled by the pressure of the supercritical CO2. |
