제목 Preparation of Poly(ether imide) Nonwoven Mats by Electrospinning
초록 Polyetherimide (PEI) is an amorphous polymer which is based on repeating aromatic imide and ether units. PEI is well known for its high strength and rigidity for long-term heat exposure. Electrospinning is a simple method to produce polymer fiber from polymer solution, with diameters in the range of nano-scaled to a sub-micron scaled. In this work, we have made PEI nonwoven mats with nano-scaled fiber diameters. PEI was dissolved in N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) and N-methyl-2- pyrrolidone (NMP). The composition of the co-solvent DMF/NMP (75/25,v/v) was suitable for the electrospinning. Morphological of the electrospun PEI fibers have been analyzed scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and image analyzer.
