제목 | Porous biodegradable membrane using PEG-PLGA diblock copolymer |
초록 | Lots of works have been done to improve the blood compatiblity and to reduce the adsorption of plasma proteins. Surface modification by grafting a hydrophilic segment such as polyethylene glycol(PEG) and polyethylene oxide (PEO) was well known. This PEG-rich surface give non-adhesive property to proteins, blood components, and cells. Pegylation has been often used for that reason. However, some problems of unstable linkage, low efficiency, diol contamination have to be avoided. In our study, poly(L-lactide-co-glycolide acid) (PLGA)/PEG di-block copolymer and 4-arm PLGA polymer were synthesized by ring-opening polymerization. The various type of synthesized polymers were dissolved to the methylene chloride and solvent was evaporated. The contact angle and mechanical strength of the film was measured with respect to the PLGA-PEG content by surface tension meter and instron machine, respectively. mPEG gives the hydrophilic properties to the film surface and 4-arm PLGA polymer gives the mechanical strength to the film. |
