Heterophase condensation polymerization is a novel process to control the inner structure of polymeric materials, and it can be also utilized to synthesize the nano-structured porous particles. Here we demonstrate that a novel method can prepare faithfully nano-structured polymeric particles which can apply to various kinds of nano-fabrication such as organic EL, biosensors, hydrogen storage and so on. We have also prepared high molecular weight PC nano-particles using transesterification between bisphenol-A (BPA) and diphenyl carbonate (DPC) in supercritical CO2 which is an excellent plasticizing solvent for phenol and byproducts of the reaction. In particular, this novel technology can offer the useful way to prepare the porous thin films having low dielectric constant for interlayer dielectric applications in microelectronics. |
