제목 Development of bipolar membranes with highly adhesive junction property and low water-splitting voltage
초록 In this study, we have developed bipolar membranes (BPMs) with highly adhesive junction properties and low water-splitting voltage. A highly adhesive bipolar junction was expected to be required for stable and efficient water splitting of the BPMs. We have tested various bipolar junction materials with a highly adhesive nature and functional groups for catalytic water-splitting reactions. The prepared BPMs showed excellent junction adhesion and water-splitting performance which is comparable with those of the commercial BPMs. The results demonstrated that the improved junction adhesion could enhance both the physicochemical stability and water-splitting performance of the BPMs. This work was supported in part by the Technology Innovation Program funded by the MOTIE (No. 20010491) and by the NRF grant funded by the MSIT (No. 2019R1A2C1089286).
