Effects of Temperature and Curing System on Hardness of Elastomer Compounds |
초록 |
The effects of temperature and curing system on hardness of elastomer compounds were investigated. NR and SBR were compounded with various sulfur and peroxide contents, in order to obtain various cross-linking systems. The hardness of NR and SBR compounds were measured as a function of temperature. The crosslink density was calculated using the Flory-Rehner equation by the swelling method. Thermal expansion stress of NR and SBR compounds was also measured as a function of temperature, in order to investigate effect of entropy. The hardness of NR and SBR compounds were increased with increasing temperature above the room temperature, whereas the crosslink density of NR and SBR was not changed with increasing temperature. |
