Recently, we clarified that the fluorescence (FL) emission of poly(diphenylacetylene) (PDPA) derivatives originates from the intramolecular excimer due to side phenyl-phenyl stack structure. To know what influence the FL emission of PDPAs in solid state and to further comprehensively understand how the intramolecular excimer forms in solid state are crucial in precise molecular design of the optimized electronic structure for highly emissive, FL responsive sensor materials. We have focused our interests on the FL origin of PDPA derivatives in order to expand our knowledge to developments of novel functions and sensor applications. We synthesized several polymer derivatives to find that some polymers are applicable to latent fingerprint detection, determination of fluid viscosity, detection of water in organic solvent, bioimaging. Details will be presented in the conference at Changwon. |
