제목 | Synthesis and characterization of magnetic nanowires using electrospinning |
초록 | Nanocrystalline magnetic materials are recently of considerable attention in the various areas of magnetic sensors, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) enhancement, and ultrahigh-density data storage. Among various magnetic materials, spinel ferrites with the general formula AB2O4 are very important magnetic materials. Many researchers have proved that magnetic properties strongly depend on the chemical composition, particle size, magnetization direction, and shape of the sample. Many attempts have been made to synthesize various magnetic materials in order to enhance their properties. Until now, zero-dimensional and two-dimensional materials were the best shape for magnetic properties [1]. Recently, one-dimensional magnetic nanostructures such as nanowires, nanobelts, and nanotubes have received considerable attention because of distinctive properties compared to zero-dimensional nanoparticles. Thus, synthetic methods including self-assembly, hydrothermal, chemical method, and electrospinning have been developed to fabricate one-dimensional magnetic nanostructures. Especially, an electrospinning method has the advantages of simple component, low cost, reproducibility, and highly useful process for preparing the one-dimensional nanostructures. Also, electrospinning is possible to easily adjust chemical composition, morphology, and size by controlling the solution concentration, voltage, humidity, and temperature. In this work, we successfully fabricated the magnetic nanowire using electrospinning. To investigate the structural, chemical, morphological, and magnetic properties of nanowires, the X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) were carried out.
