제목 Perfect alignment of supramolecular columns via geometric confinement
초록 Self-assembly of soft building block has received an intense attention for a long time due to its profound impact on nano-patterning fabrications. Very importantly, supramolecular dendrimers have the extraordinary merits such as a fast stabilization time to highly regular ordered structure and small feature size. In this research, we synthesized tapered supramolecular dendrimers having thermotropic liquid cdrystalline properties. Through intensive efforts, we developed a general method to create a perfect long-range order of supramolecular column. We found that this perfect ordering of supramolecular column is induced by geometric confinement, not by the surface anchoring. Since this method we developed here is generally applicable to numerous supramolecular dendrimers having flat moiety, thus, we anticipate this research will be a step-stone for a practical apllication of supramolecular column.
