The study on the influence of thermal degradation of organic modifier of clay in LDPE/ Clay nanocomposites |
초록 |
From the result of thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) of organophillically modified montmorillonite (OMMT), organic modifier was observed to be decomposed between 220℃ and 260℃. In this study, property change of LDPE/ Clay nanocomposites has been studied on the various extrusion temperatures and modifiers of OMMT. OMMT having various organic modifier was purchased from Southen Clay Products, Inc (SCP). Thermal properties and mechanical properties were examined using Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and Universial Testing Machine (UTM). The state of dispersion of OMMT was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD). |
