Effect of Additives in Organic Field-Effect Transistors with Conjugated Polymer Channel Layers |

Organic field-effect transistors (OFET) have been extensively studied because they can be fabricated on plastic film substrates at lower temperatures compared to conventional inorganic field-effect transistors. In addition, the low temperature fabrication on plastic film substrates can deliver speedy production of large-size integrated transistor modules with various shapes. Thanks to the development of new organic semiconducting materials and device fabrication techniques, both p-type and n-type OFET show improved charge carrier mobility that is better than that of amorphous silicon transistors. However, most of sophisticated methods suggested for improved performance OFET do actually lack of real practicability for commercialization. In this work, hence, we attempted to improve the performance of OFET by employing additives, which can be one of the simplest and cost-effective ways. To prove our concept, we employed an additive-modified polymer film as a channel layer in OFET. |
