Magnetic and Photonic Polymer Replicas Based on Rugate Porous Silicon |

Photonic crystal containing rugate structure are prepared by applying a computer-generated pseudo-sinusoidal current waveform and result in a mirror with high reflectivity in a specific narrow spectral region. This paper describes a method for fabrication of magnetic photonic polymer replicas based on rugate porous silicon (PSi). Mgnetic property of polymer replica is generated depend on magnetic nanoparticles of iron oxide (Fe3O4). Polymer replicas exhibit a sharp resonance in the reflectivity spectrum. Also, The magnetic properties of polymer replicas display at room temperature by SQUID magnetometry. Optical characteristics of photonic polymer replica indicate that the surface of polymer film has a negative structure of rugate PSi. This replica is stable in aqueous solutions for several days without any degradation. |
