A variety of fascinating properties of graphene have been explored over the past decade. Graphene has been obtained using two approaches, namely top-down and bottom-up methods. The bottom-up method includes a chemical vapor deposition (CVD) technique, which allows the production of large-area, single-layer graphene. However, the CVD method has suffered from disadvantages, such as toxic volatile chemicals, specialized equipment, and complicated substrate transfer process. Herein, we present efficient top-down, physical exfoliation approaches to produce graphene/polymer nanocomposites. Specifically, functional polymers are physically incorporated into stacked graphene layers as the guest species without major property degradation, resulting in versatile electrode materials. |
