Microfluidicapproach for generation of monodisperse Tadpole-like alginate particles |
초록 |
The simple microfluidic approach for the generation of monodisperse Tadpole-like alginate particles is presented. Emulsions of alginate solution are uniformly pinched off at T-shaped junction as immiscible phase. Alginate emulsions generated in microfluidic device were transferred into reaction bath dissolving CaCl2 as cross-liking agent. Emulsions flowing along the microchannel were directly solidified when they are contacting with CaCl2. Spherical emulsions were transformed into Tadpole-like algiante gel structures according to their change of reaction rate which was also controlled by concentration of cross-liking agent and alginate solution. Furthermore, microfluidic method could manipulate size of produced alginate particles with the control of flow rate. Finally, FITC-BSA was encapsulated in alginate particles as model of drugs. |
