Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLEDs) Using Solution-Processible Polyimide with Fluorene, Carbazole Derivatives |

A series of novel poly(amine-imide)s DAPF-I, DAPC-I with fluorene, carbazole units were prepared for application in OLEDs from the newly synthesized diamine monomer and commercial dianhydride via a conventional two-step procedure that included a ring-opening polyaddition to give polyamic acids, followed by chemical or thermal cyclodehydration. A novel fluorene, carbazole-derived aromatic diamine monomer, 4-DAPF and 4-DAPC, was successfully synthesized by the Suzuki coupling reaction. The polymers were thermally stable and quite soluble in common organic solvents, forming an optical-quality film. Three layer OLEDs made from these compounds revealed excellent stability of electroluminescent characteristic. |
