Pore structure control of carbon foam derived from the mixtures of PF resin and Ethylene glycol and the effect of Carbonization temperature |
초록 |
Carbon foam derived from phenolic resin mixtures has been prepared in the process based on polymerization-induced phase separation. In this study, the most important factor is solubility of Ethylene glycol components (EGs) with water. Types of EGs resulted in different carbon foam pore size tendency upon changing the temperature (600 ~ 800℃) and contents of each EG, amount of a curing catalyst and water in phenolic resin mixtures. Porous carbon foams with sponge-like structure were obtained by controlling the various factors. The resultant carbon foam was characterized in terms of the pore size and structure. |
