제목 Sensitive and selective detection of cyanide ions in aqueous solutions by using the ensemble between 4-chloro-7-Nitro-2,1,3-benzothiadiazole labelled peptide and Cu(II) ions.
초록 We prepared a new ensemble system for the detection of cyanide ions in 100% aqueous solutions using a 4-chloro-7-Nitro-2,1,3-benzothiadiazole labelled peptide (GlyGlyHis) and Cu(II). The addition of cyanide ions instantly removed Cu(II) ions from the peptide ensemble in 100% aqueous solutions, resulting in a color change as well as fluorescent change. We investigated the selectivity, sensitivity, and response times of the ensemble for the detection of cyanide ions in 100% aqueous solutions. The response time for the detection of cyanide ions was less than 600 sec and the detection limit for cyanide ions was much lower than the maximum allowable level of cyanide ions (1.6 uM) in drinking water set by the World Health Organization.
